Three things we do not fudge.
Numbers like these are easy to get subtly wrong, and a wrong one looks exactly like a right one. Here is where it usually goes wrong, and what we do instead.
We watch the position, not the trade. We check what each wallet is holding and compare it to what it held a moment ago. Guessing from which side of a trade someone appears on is a coin flip, and getting it backwards would turn every number on this site upside down while still looking perfectly sensible.
Closed means gone. Someone who bought this morning and sold at lunch is not counted this afternoon. What you are looking at is what these traders are holding now, not everything they touched today.
Every panel tells you. There is a small clock on everything, counting up in real time, and when a number stops arriving the panel says so instead of sitting there looking current. A frozen screen that looks fine is the worst thing a site like this can do to you.
